Experience and knowledge

Quotation

for the MSR part of test equipment:

  • Selection of suitable sensor technology
  • Selection of the associated signal conditioning (measuring amplifier, signal converter, SCXI etc.)
  • Selection of the suitable system platform (industrial PC, PXI system, monitor/TFT/touchscreen, mouse/scrollpad, keyboards etc.)
  • Selection of the required analog and digital measurement cards (PCI(e), PXI) as well as interface cards (RS232, RS485, GPIB, Ethernet, motion control, switching matrices etc.)
  • Selection of further external devices (DMM, current/voltage sources, power drivers for actuators, frequency converters, controllers, bus-powered measuring modules, etc.).
  • Selection of the required accessories (special cabling and connection terminals, etc.)
  • Selection of required standard software or SW drivers
  • Expense calculation for engineering services (conception, planning, project management, commissioning, etc.)
  • Cost calculation for software creation (user interfaces, test software, drivers for ext. devices etc.)
  • Expense calculation for documentation (software description, operating instructions, installation instructions, etc.).

Project management

of measurement and testing projects:

  • Order clarification
  • Project planning (milestones and activities)
  • Project management
  • Project controlling / status check (determination of actual/target deviations and information about the project status)

Software and test sequence creation

with NI LabVIEW and/or NI TestStand:

  • Design and organization of user interfaces
  • Initialization / parameterization via external configuration files (ASCII) if necessary with creation of parameter editors
  • Operator control (control elements, dialogs / input masks etc.)
  • Fixed or variable sequence controls (via ext. files), if necessary with sequence logging (platforms: NI-LabView or NI-TestStand)
  • Acquisition of measurement data (analog / digital) from multifunction IO cards, ext. devices, network etc.) with subsequent scaling
  • Evaluation of measurement data (calculation of characteristic values / curves)
  • Visualization of measurement data / characteristic values (display, chart, graph, etc.)
  • Checking the measured data / characteristic values (setpoints / limit values / ranges) with IO/NIO evaluation
  • Saving of measurement data (raw data) and / or characteristic values in files (binary, ASCII or customer-specific formats)
  • Logging of test results (output to printer or storage in file (*.jpg, *.png, *.html))
  • Configuration and control of all measurement and interface cards as well as external devices
  • Creation of required driver software or objects for ext. devices
  • Continuous error handling (if necessary with error logging)
  • Plant monitoring (light barriers, fog sensors, smoke sensors, proximity switches, position switches, level sensors, overtemperature switches, etc.)
  • Control of external devices via interfaces (RS232, RS485, GPIB, Ethernet, CAN, Foundation Fieldbus etc.)
